About SleepScorePro

A free sleep awareness platform built by researchers and developers who believe everyone deserves to understand their sleep - without a clinic appointment.

Who We Are

SleepScorePro was created by a small team of wellness researchers, health writers, and software developers who share a common belief: millions of people are suffering from poor sleep without ever understanding why - and the information to help them is scattered across complex medical literature, paywalled journals, and expensive consultations.

We built SleepScorePro to bridge that gap. Our tools translate peer-reviewed sleep science into simple, actionable calculators that anyone can use - for free, in under 2 minutes, without creating an account.

We are not doctors, sleep clinicians, or medical professionals. We are researchers and builders who care deeply about sleep health education. Our tools are built on publicly available scientific research from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and peer-reviewed sleep science journals.

Our Mission

Educate

Translate complex sleep science into plain language that anyone can understand and act on.

Empower

Give people the awareness tools to understand their sleep patterns and identify areas for improvement.

Be Honest

Always be clear that our tools are educational guides - not medical diagnoses or clinical assessments.

How Our Tools Are Built

All of our calculators are built on publicly available, peer-reviewed sleep science research. Based on our team's study and research of the available literature, we have implemented the following methodologies:

Sleep Score Calculator→ Try it free

Based on our team's research and study of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) principles and AASM sleep efficiency guidelines. Our weighted algorithm (efficiency 30%, duration 25%, latency 20%, WASO 15%, quality 10%) reflects common clinical prioritization patterns found in sleep research literature.

Behavioral Risk Questionnaire→ Try it free

Based on our research of sleep hygiene literature across six behavioral categories: alcohol, caffeine, screen exposure, exercise, stress, and environment - factors consistently identified in published sleep research as behaviorally modifiable.

Caffeine Curfew Calculator→ Try it free

Based on our study of caffeine pharmacokinetics research, including widely cited research on caffeine half-life (typically 5-7 hours in healthy adults) and adenosine receptor effects documented in sleep and pharmacology literature.

Sleep Debt Tracker→ Try it free

Based on our research of sleep debt accumulation principles documented in sleep medicine literature, including research on sleep restriction and recovery sleep requirements.

Chronotype Quiz→ Try it free

Based on our study of circadian biology research and chronotype classification approaches used in sleep timing research, including morning/evening preference questionnaire methodologies.

What Our Users Say

Real results from real people using SleepScorePro tools

The Sleep Debt Tracker showed I had accumulated over 9 hours of sleep debt by Friday every week — I had no idea how bad it was. The recovery plan was specific and realistic. What I appreciate most is that this tool does not just give you a number and leave you guessing. Every score comes with a clear explanation of why it matters and exactly what to change. Outstanding educational resource.

As a software engineer in Bangalore with late work calls, my sleep schedule was completely destroyed. The Behavioural Questionnaire identified my irregular schedule and late screen use as the main culprits — I scored critical in both. Within 3 weeks of a fixed 11pm wake alarm and a 30-minute screen curfew, my score went from 54 to 68. The expert explanations with each question made all the difference.

I've been struggling with poor sleep for years and always assumed it was just stress from work. The Sleep Score Calculator showed me my efficiency was only 71% — way below the healthy threshold. After two weeks of following the recommendations (fixing my 3am room temperature and cutting caffeine after 1pm), my score jumped to 84. Genuinely the most useful free health tool I have ever used.
